ARCADIA! We all made it into Arcadia in every event we were going for! So i'm running the 4x800. It will go Brady, Me, Dylan, and Sean. It's gonna be so sick. Then i'm also running the 2 mile and the mile! I'm super excited because Arcadia is so fast, along with the elevation and nice weather im going to throw down some dope times. For the mile I am in the seeded race, or the second fastest. In last years race, the middle of the seeded race got 4:20 so that would be a good goal. In the 2 mile im not sure what heat im in, but every race is extremely fast so I'm going for a 9:25.

We had a dual meet today at AF. So what a few of us did is ride the bus there and then finish back at Lehi. Warmed up with a few minutes of ultimate frisbee. We ran up the road to Lone Peak so that we could say we ran to 3 different high schools in one day. We ran thru Highland Glen park, turned at one of the lights and back by the fish and spinney parks. Felt pretty good, tomorrow i'll do pre meet for the mile and 800 on friday.

Me and brady warmed up 2.5 then did our pre meet for the mile tomorrow. I am also running the 800. 3 strides and 2*400s. I got 67 and 66. Then we finished up our miles with Thom. We ran by Lehi block and back on main street. We went very slow and it felt good. Hopefully its not that windy tomorrow, doesn't matter tho im breaking 4:30 and then with whatever I have left put into the 800, 2:03 i'll say.

Ran 2 miles at the High School before heading over to timpanogos. So I wasn't really thinking and didn't get very much warm up for the mile. I ran like .2 from our tent to the starting line and then got 3 strides on the line. I got out good. After the first lap, a 65, I was in third. I tried to push the second lap more because it's always slow, but I still got passed by 5 guys. I guess I just need to go a little bit faster. That lap was a 68. Third lap i just cruised didn't do that much, 71. Right before the last lap I surged a little bit to get ahead of a little pack. With 300 left we started picking it up and I passed lil warner. Then in the last str8 away I caught up to Jamison Wilkes and had a 100 meter time trial. I barely got him. I give him creds cause he didn't go down without a fight and really made me work for it. My legs were really tired, I threw the form out the window and was pushing it as hard as I could. Last lap was a 63 and I finished with a 4:27.68 a 3 second PR and 3 seconds away from state qualifying. Got 3rd place and a medal. I am super happy with this race because the third lap was very slow, so if I just work on that lap and drop it a lil, maybe finish with a 62 then i can qualify for state! Especially if I get a few miles warm up. After that I ran a cool down/warm up with Thom for the 800. I wasn't feeling the greatest, and I got a lot better time in the mile than I thought I would so I really didn't care about it. First lap 63, last lap 68. Haha I was just cruising in, made sure I passed at least 1 person tho :) Overall a very good day!

Shout out to Reeves and Garison cuz we continued our 400 tradition after Pine View. We strip down and sprint a 400 mostly naked after long bus rides after cool trips. Normally I can pull out a 65 or so, but started of very conservative and saved for the kick were I just out leaned Garison, finished with a 71 lol.

Shout out to Dylan who ran two, i repeat two sub 51 400's today. In the 400 finals and the 4x400.

Josh Collins ran the 4x100 today and did amazing, i love that guy #hairgoal #speedgoals #everythinggoals

Congrats to Tanner Mellior for getting his mission call to Taiwon. I totally called it, a few minutes before he opened it Taiwon just popped in my head and turns out thats where he's going, Jamie and Sierra are both witnesses, ask em

Shout out to Mckay Johns for being a sophomore and running a 4:14

Cant wait for ARCADIA!!!

Writing this blog from my cousins house in Mareno Valley, California! Met Thomas at the high school this morning and I got 8.5 in, 6 of it at distance pace so about 6:30. I elevated my legs and got a really good cool down in after my race yesterday so the legs felt really good. Then I got packed and we drove on down here. We made pretty good time cuz my dad drives really fast. I'll go for a bike ride tomorrow because my legs were really sore when I got out. I think we are getting everything worked out for the 4x8 this friday. Then I got the 32 and 16. I'm going for 2:00, 9:29, and 4:24. Hopefully I'm not dead by the time the mile comes around.

We stopped at the Costco in St George, right by Pine View and I saw Paul Gaona from the blog! It was so sick!

Shout out to Diwas from East! He got a new PR in the mile at the Alpha Invite and I talked to him a little bit. He's from Nepal and he's my role model

Shout out to Warbeast cuz were at the same mileage this week. Should i go do a .01 jog so I can be ahead of him? I'd prolly get jumped

Beautiful run this morning. The weather was perfect. 9 miles at 6:31 average pace while my dad biked. At the start my legs were a little stiff from the car ride but after a few miles they were fine and the run felt awesome. A little faster maybe than I should have but I dont run till friday. I just got talking about Paul Ryan and Austin Tamagno and the pace kept dropping. Were going to Knotts Berry Farm today, pumped.

I had a small speed workout today so me and my dad drove to the neighboring city Riverside, and went to the track at riverside community college. It was a pretty nice track. It reminded me of Mt. Sac cuz it had huge bleachers and palm trees around it. Warmed up 1.25 then did 5x300's @ goal mile pace (4:24) with 3 minutes rest in between each one. I hit 51.7 /49.5 /49.2 /48.5 /47.7 inbetween each one I jogged a 200 then waited the rest of the time. Then 3x100's all out with 1 minute rest inbetween. I got 13.66/ 13.34/ 13.30/ I did these on the back straight away of the track because the college athletes were doing stuff on the other side of the track. Well on the back straight there wasn't a solid line by where you start the 200 so I went from a solid line to the number 1 where you start the 200. After I was done I figured out where I should have gone from, so mine were actually like 90 meters. If that makes any sense. It wasn't a super hard workout but it loosened up my legs and felt good. After I finished up miles at 6:35 ap. I just have a little speed on thursday for pre meet, other than that I get to rest the rest of the week.

Drove into Redlands and ran passed the Redlands Temple, it's as lot smaller than any temple in Utah. Average pace was 6:54 and it was a good run. After I was wondering how many miles I had on my watch so I looked at it and I had 666.0 miles. Weird.

Drove over to Riverside Community College. Ran a mile warm up then did pre meet. In the 400's I got 69 and 71 then did a few strides. I felt really good and I'm ready to kill it the next two days. Drove back to the house and finished miles at 6:52 average pace. We're in the seeded race for the 4x800. We run at 4:57 pacific time, if you want to watch us, which you should, you can at arcadiainvitational.com Then I run in the Rated 1 race of the 2mile at 8:42. You should watch that too. It's gonna be sick, Thomas is in my heat, along with Stockton and Camren from Davis, and Kyle Rummens from Woods Cross. Then on Saturday at 5:56 I run in the seeded 1 mile race. This is funny because I have an 800 and 2mile before it, so I might be tired. And I'm seeded last. Woohoo. Haha so my goal might just be not get last. But it's gonna be fun cuz it's Arcadia and I'm getting a sick Nike backpack. K I gotta get some sleep, peace out blog

AM: 2.25 miles around the neighborhood to loosen up.

We arrived at Arcadia and got our bibs and stuff (they're sick) and hung out. Then we warmed up 2 miles and got ready. Thomas ran our lead off leg and got a 2:03, he gave it to Brady. I dont know what he ran but he did swell then he gave it to me and I dropped the baton. It was crazy, on the exchanges they put you in a line and you pretty much free for all-ed it so people were getting into people's way, people were running into each other. I'm not sure what happened, it was my fault tho. I got bumped when I got the baton and I dropped it. So I picked it up as fast as I could. For the first lap and a half I just ran behind some guys and paced off of them. At the 200 there was a string of 4 or 5 teams and I went to the outside and passed them all. I ran a 2:04 with the dropped baton, so a pr. Sean ran good and leaned a guy out at the end. We got 8:21, tying our old pr. But our old pr was on an oversized track, we had Dylan, and we didn't drop the baton. So i guess it was a good race.

We picked up our backpacks and stuff and then me and thom went to warm up for the Rated 1 of the 2mile. We did a mile warm up and then went and sat in the tent for a while. We went out to the track and they told us to hurry up cuz the race was gonna start immediately. But then they realized that they still had another girls race. That was good cuz then I had more time to get some strides and stuff. We started and I was feeling good. The race went good because I wasn't thinking about anything. I was just keeping up with the guys infront of me and if they moved up, working on closing the gap and stuff. So it went by kinda fast. First mile was 4:43-4:44. I ran the middle laps better than I ever have, my pace didn't fall off very much it felt like. Kick was really good, I passed at least 3 guys and almost caught Camren from Davis. That was the same at simplot. After I saw my official time on the scoreboard, I screamed I was so pumped. 11 second PR's dont come very often. Well except if yur the guy who won the race cuz he got a 25 second pr, ran a 9:11. Chump. I finished with a 9:27.17, Camren got 9:26.74, and Stokton Smith who got a 9:24.89, he was in second for most of the race and like 50 meters ahead of me, with my kick and him kind of dying at the end, I came within two and a half seconds off him.

1.5 mile cool down with Bill and Sarah after.

Shout out to Destiny Collins cuz she ran a 4:53 split in the 4xmile. Then she noticed who I was when I saw her, well she remembered that she follows me on twitter. Then when I was getting ready for the 2mile I asked her if she would date me and she said yes.

Shout out to Austin Tamagno cuz I saw him and told him that he kills it. He's running the ol 2 mile tonight, lets see if he can get sub 8:50!

Shout out to the meet of Arcadia cuz I got sick gear from it and its the fastest meet in the nation, so its pretty dope just watching it.

Running in the Seeded Mile tomorrow!!!!AAAAHHHH! Watch it online at arcadiainvitational.com! I run at 5:56

AM: 3 miles to loosen up. Feeling good!

PM: Warm up 1.5. I didn't even notice this until we were about to go, that we were running a true mile and not just a 1600, I thought was cool. First lap, or 407 meters whatever, was 67ish. There was this one kid who was way behind the entire time. If you take him out, I was in last most of the race. I was just cruising at the back of the pack. Middle laps were good. With 100 meters to go my legs started to feel like lead so I just looked up to the sky, grunted, and gave it everything I had. I ended up out leaning Taylor Dillan from WX. That made he happy cuz he ran a 4:22 at pine view, so not his greatest race but I'll take a win whenever I can. My last lap was a 62.something. I finished 9th out the 11 runners in the race, 4:25 for the full mile. Sarah! took 2 second off her mile time for the 1600 and i think i've heard that before so I'll do that. 4:23 for a 1600 which qualifies me for state. Good overall weekend racing with the fastest people in the nation. So grateful for the opportunity. Driving back to Utah tomorrow then I'll be back on the streets of Lehi. I miss lehi, i'm gonna miss the cali weather tho.

Shout out to Sean for running a 9:32 3200! Thomas running a 4:32 in the Rising Stars Mile! Paul Ryan for getting a wicked fast time in the 3200, 9:02! Really everybody, there were a ton of Nation Leading times and marks, and Arcadia records set this weekend.

I'm back in Lehi! My legs are super tight from the hard races these last few days and then sitting in a car for a whole day doesn't really help. On the Arcadia results they have my laps for the mile

 1:08.199 (1:08.199) 2:14.502 (1:06.303) 3:21.482 (1:06.981)
         4:08.781 (47.299) 4:24.116 (15.336) 4:25.599 (1.484)

So my 1600 meter time was 4:24.11 which is funny cuz thats .01 faster than state qualifying. Its at sea level so, but whatever.

8.5 mile distance run during 4th period with sir matthew and strrt because we had the 3v3 basketball tournament after school. Average pace was 6:34. We ran by willowcreek and maverick, then turned on center street and back on main street. In our first basketball game we destroyed the other team, winning 22-6. I scored 4 points and had some nice assists. Quinn, the only actual basketball player on our team did awesome. In the second game we played a whole team of actual basketball players and lost 22-12. Brady had a good game with most of our points. We have two games tomorrow starting at 4:10 so if any of you guys wanna come watch.

1.5 mile warmup then ran to Airport hill and did 6x1 minute up the hill at almost all out. We didn't really have a pace. There was some spray paint on the hill, and I got right by it almost everytime. The first two times I went farther, then my legs started getting really tired cuz its a steep hill and stuff. But I still got almost to the same spot. Then we ran by sami's house. We stopped and sami's house and got a snack to say the least. Well the wind was hecka blowing today. Coach said it could get up to 70mph over the next little while. Well after all the food, and the wind picking up sami drove me and matt back to the high school. I ran half a mile on the treadmill at school and counted a little for the basketball we played today. If i'm feeling good tomorrow i'll make some of it up

Warmed up 2 miles, I was feeling good. Got out well, was never boxed in. First lap 67. I didn't really worry too much about the laps cuz I was confident i'd qualify. I started to get tired laps 5,6,7 and I had a couple 75's. No good. So I saw that galen was behind me, and so I told him to help a brotha out and pass me, then I went with him. I knew it would be close so I just tried to close fast. Started going at 500 left. And by the end got side by side with Joe from timp who only one lap earlier had been 60-70 meters ahead. Kicks are great. Didn't end up beating him but I didn't care. I just wanted to qualify. I got a 9:35.something so I did qualify. Now I dont have to worry about it which is awesome. 1 mile cooldown. After that I sped on home and got ready for our day date. We got to Draper and rapelled down a water fall, yes it was as sick as it sounds. Then I had the dance, legs were tired from the meet, but still had enough to get h*cka turnt with the boys from team pre. Sadly I only got 47 miles for the week, ten miles under what I was supposed to do. But my leg hurt and stuff but I qualified so it dont matter. Now we gotta go get the mile!

The workout today was sick! I think its in my top 5 hardest workouts. 4 miles before and then 3 sets of 4x400's. It was 3 minutes rest inbetween each 400. In between sets we had 4 minutes rest and a recovery lap. To get some mileage in we did a lap during the 3 minutes every other one. The first set was at current mile pace. I got 68,65,67,65. Pretty good.

Second set was at goal mile pace for saturday. (4:24) I got 64,65,64,62. In the middle of this set is when you had to start digging deeper to hit the times.

Last set was at faster than the previous set or hitting the same time. I got 63,64,63,61. At the end of the last one my legs were so tired i could hardly lift them it felt like. It was one of the most tired my legs have ever been in my life. If i can hit 12 400's at these times no reason I shouldn't be able to run 4 66's in a row.

I am so ready for the byu invite and region and state. I'm in pretty good shape and with end of the season tapering and stuff im ready to throw down some dope times. Call me lukas verzbicas

Got a new mile pr on my watch, 4:13 call me a slower version of conner mantz cuz he's way faster than a 4:13 and he comments on my blog

Drover over to PG high where the dual meet was and did 6 miles on the murdock canal trail. We got back and practiced hand off's, then just hung around till the 4x100. So strrt got out pretty good, I cant say anything bad cuz I was going just as fast, or slow for that matter lol. Him and matt said they had a good hand off. When matt was running towards me I couldn't stop laughing. So I kinda just winged it but I think we had a good hand off. I hauled booty around the curve and gave the baton to brady who blazed the last 110 meters. Our overall time was 51.9. A decent showing. I got a 12.3 or something cuz I only ran like 90 meters cuz I gave brady the baton right after the exchange started. It was a fun time. We beat the pg girls team, unlike the tri meet last year where me and garison and reeves team lost to the lp girls. Then I finished up the rest of my mileage.

Shout out to tiger trials cuz I spent my whole freaking day there. Or it felt like it. Warmed up for the mile, I was feeling ok. The high mileage this week kinda zapped my legs. (Even tho 60 miles isn't that much) So after the first lap I gave up. I was mentally weak today. I didn't care if someone passed me and I didn't push the last 100 like I normally do. I didn't even care, which is bad because I should care. I should have been like ok maybe its not the best race but still push it. I'll do that next time. Finished 13th or 14th after being seeded 3rd. It was sick, I was seeded right next to Conner Mantz. He is such a chill dude. I frickin love that guy. He shook my hand before we started and I almost fainted. The af guys laughed at me but they are just jealous I dont think they're that cool. Then after my 800 he came up to me and called me baller. I told him feel free to comment on my blog, he can do it anytime lol.

Warmed up for the 800. I was in the second fastest heat. First lap was 60, most of the guys went out too fast cuz I started cruising past guys once we started the second lap. I almost caught a lone peak guy at the end who lead the entire race. He ran like a 57 first lap. If the race was 10 meters longer I would have caught him. Finished with a 2:04.28 So a pr by just a little bit. I wanted it to be better but whatever. I think I'll run it one more time this year. Just to show you how bad my mile was, in both the 800 and mile I got 14th place and I am way better at the mile. So ya, the mile I should have got at least 7th.

Shout out to Nashby (Nick Ashby, sprinter from orem) cuz he slayed the 200 and 400, then the orem 4x1 ran in the 41's! they are insane!

Shout out to my boys running at the Davis Invite. They had some sick performances in the mile. Garek ran a 4:15! Guess what, I knew garek like a year and half ago so we are pretty much best friends. Garek when yur famous always remember me. Then Zach Erickson ran a 4:20 and only qualified for state.

Good luck to Strrt and Matt on their d8 tonight. We'll see if they smooch. I think only matt will.

Shout out to Controversial Cam for getting his mission call to Helsinki Finland!! One of my buds Jake Bailey from AF is serving there rn so look out for him.

Track workout today. It was 2x 200 800 400 200 200. The 2's and 4's at mile, 800 at 2 mile. 200's were good. We were way fast on most of them because ryan was being a dumb and sprinting them. I was perfect on the 800's which is the most important part. Didn't run the last 200 on the last set cuz I got a weird extrememly painful side ache. Finished up 9 and then hung with mikie and the boys at the tri meet. It was sick. We went to macey's and drank some chocolate milk. After the meet me and brady and matt went to the spring, then went over to Brady's for pancakes. I cant believe in a few months all my senior buds are gonna be gone. I'm gonna have no friends

Distance run today. We ran to the cemetary in AF. Then once we got back 4*150 meters build ups. Shout out to Beautiful Brad Barton. He ran for lehi and graduated the year before I got there. My freshman cross country season he ran with us and was an assistant coach before he left on his mission. Well he's been back for a few months and is now gonna train with us for a little while.

Shout out to Coach Jamie for finally joining the fast running blog family and posting something. She also gave me a shout out and it almost made me cry.

Shout out to Math Addict Mitch. He's one of the many Pine View kids with a sick blog, go check it out

Everybody had something to do so I ran all by myself today. 8 miles at around 7 minute pace with 3 down hill strides. After we went to the spring and it was sick as usual.

Shout out to me cuz I got a letter from Emory University in Atlanta
