Raced the 800 at Region 4 championships. Goal was qualify for state, don't care which way you do it just get there. 2 mile warm up. Legs felt aight. Race went out quick with 28ish and 58 and I was in about 5th of 6th. On the back straight I made a strong move into 3rd of 4th. With 200 to go Zack, Adam, and Josh were a few meters ahead of me and I knew that Matthew from Riverton was close behind. I swung into lane 3 on the last hundred and it was crazy. All four of us were side by side at one point. Zack had a crazy good hundred cuz Adam cut in early and so he had to slow and then swing around him and he still had the fastest last hundred. I was grinding but tried to keep it as efficient as possible and pulled ahead of Adam and Josh and ended up getting second. It was one of the funniest races I've been in. My time was a 1:57.85 so I came away with top 4 and the qualifying time. Really happy about it. I achieved my goal of qualifying for state so now I can run all three events at state and it's gonna be awesome and I'm sad I'm a senior and life goes by too fast.

Cool down 2 miles, watched some races, then another 2.5
