Sick day with the boys. So I started off with like a mile and a half warm up for the Skyrim. Only Asa, Landon, and I and some other people trying to qualify for camp were the ones actually racing it. I had Austin help pace/motivate me on his bike. I didn't have my watch so I was wearing Austins but sadly since he has a 620 instead of a 220 I didnt know how to work it and I told the freaking lady assistant coach to hold up cuz my watch wasn't ready but she started anyways and I didn't get a great head start. The start felt faster than last time I ran it but I was all by myself this time not with the guys. So after I was done I realized it wasn't as fast. Going up the hills I felt really strong and thanks to Austin and his motivational words to me my kick was good. It felt like I kicked a lot better this time. Came thru and my time was 7:59 but I didn't start immediatley cuz I was trying to get the watch set, so I'm counting it as 7:58 and a new pr. Because I got pretty much the same time and I feel my kick was better, I must have started off slower than last time.

Got everyone together and we went and ran the Jail Trail. The one I ran with Dalpal for the first time just a little while ago. It was so sick. Some of the guys wimped out tho right before we got to it smh. We went the opposite way of when I went with Dallin. We stood on top of the dirt mounds. It was hard just going up that first road because its steep and I had already done the 1.5 thing. But then we decided we would run up to the telephone pole and evaluate what we wanted to do. So we ran up the even steeper trail to the pole and decided we want to go the next mountainess hill top. Then we bushwacked and trailblazed up to the next hill top. This is when Asa was getting pretty done and we were all tired as heck and wanted water. But somehow we convinced Asa to go the the last mountainess hill top with an even steeper trail up to it. It was one that was tough to run up without slipping cuz it was so steep. We slowly made our way up there and the view was amazing. It was tough but a super fun time with Asa, Landon, Parker, Big T, Thomas, and the Twins.

Made our way back and went and had a party in the spring. We jumped in a whole bunch of times as a farewell, at least a farewell for me. And then went backstage by the pumphouse and all this good stuff. After that went and played ball with the LP and PG homies. We had a super sick group of guys and we played for sooooooo long but it was super fun. Gonna miss all these good times.

Hello fellow bloggers. This is my last blog entry for a little while. Not gonna run today cuz I have to pack and get set apart and then we're going to dinner and I don't want to run after a buffet. But I am planning on running with my dad early tomorrow morning so just consciously add a couple miles to this week ;)

My time on the blog has been so fun and I've became friends with so many awesome people. Thank you for the support. Running in high school was amazing and I'm so excited for Weber State when I get back. Keep it real homies.

You should all email me and let me know how your running is going! connor.arnell@myldsmail.net

Also for everyone who wants here is Elder Arnell's weekly email!

Bonjour mes amis, everything is still going good. This week went by fast. I just got done playing soccer with our zone and it was really fun. Temple this morning awesome as usual. On Sunday I had a cool experience. At the temple walk I sang with our zone and it was cool but I didn't get to see any of my friends like last week. We were walking back from the temple walk and I had remembered that my homie Ethan Field was leaving the next day to Sacramento. I said a prayer that I could see him during dinner or something before he left. Two minutes after that, we were standing outside our class room and Ethan walks by and yells baller at me. It was so cool. I got another pic with him and we talked about sitting by each other at the devo and seeing the same movie afterwards. I ended up not seeing him at the devo and he went to 17 miracles and I hadn't seen Character of Christ yet and I really wanted to go to that so it ended up being the last time I saw him. I know it was just a little thing wanting to see one of my friends before he left but I'm thankful that God hears our prayers and blesses us with tender mercies. And Character of Christ by David A Bednar was amazing so if you haven't seen it yet I want you to watch it for FHE or something.

On Tuesday for the devo Bonnie L Oscarson came and she shared some awesome scriptures. Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? Alma 26:27 Bear thy afflictions and I will give unto thee success. We watched the video of the currant bush and the Gardner by D Todd Christofferson and it talked about he sometimes we need to be cut down even if we don't think so.
This week we taught our new teacher Frere Call, or "Jose" twice and our teacher Soeur Hafen or "Celine" once and they were really good. Our French still isn't anywhere near fluent but we are getting a lot better.
Running since last email: Saturday 5.25, Monday 6, Tuesday 5.5, Wednesday7, Thursday 4.75. This morning after the temple Elder Frostad and I did a two mile tempo around the field. We said to be sub 6 the first mile and then go faster the second mile. Well I got the jitters from not running fast in a while and did a 5:29 first mile, then tried my best to negative split and got 5:27 the second mile, for a 10:57 lol I know its not that great but for no speed and trainers and grass I think its pretty good. I dont know if I said but the mile record was 4:39 and then Ethan shattered it and got 4:24! I dont even know how! Its .96 but still! I gotta attempt to beat it but its gonna be tough.
If any of you want to send me a letter my address is Elder Connor Arnell SEP 12 FRA-PAR 2005 N. 900 E. Unit 114 Provo, UT 84602. I'll be here for a few more weeks.
Love you guys have a great week! -Elder Arnell

Sorry for another email. I forgot to mention that we had our first TRC'S this week. You teach a volunteer that is a member so it's not as big and informative, more like a thought. Well Elder Ho and I didn't have that much planned and sometimes we don't communicate the best so we got into our first fight you could say but it wasn't that much of a fight just some frustration. In our first of two,  we were teaching a couple and it was going OK,  not great. We were talking about the BOM and then Elder Ho switched over to talking about the plan of salvation. He told them that his mom passed away when he was 7 which he hadn't even told me that before! And that because of the plan of salvation he knows she can be saved and he started crying hard core. Because of that I started tearing up a little bit. We were talking mostly in English by then but we didn't care cuz it was awesome. Our thought was all over kinda but it was OK. So I learned that Elder Ho's dad was a single parent while he was growing up. Crazy stuff. He's so cool. K peace out

6 with 3x800.  2:31, 2:32, 2:31.  Was close to throwing up after.  Shout out to Tyler!

Pull-ups, chin-ups, and push-ups to get more swole then before

Every missionaries dream is to leave the MTC. You can intentionally hurt yourself so you have to go see the doctor, or you can have a guy from Hong Kong as your comp and get invited to Temple Square. If someone is from really far away they can ride up to temple and get a tour. Elder Ho definitely wanted to do it cuz he has never been to the US and I definitely wanted to do it to get out of here lol. So we rode in a charter bus to frontrunner and rode that up to Salt Lake. So we stopped at the Lehi and AF stations and everything and it was soooooo weird seeing Pioneer Crossing and all this stuff I would drive by everyday, not having seen it for 3 weeks and knowing I wasn't gonna see it for pretty much two more years. At the Lehi Station, these two girls I recognized from high school got on and I said hi and they started to sit down next to Elder Ho and I and asked if they could. I just responded uuummm I'm not suuurrrreeeee. And so they moved. Awwwkkwward lol. We had a very short time so we couldn't see a lot of things, but we visited the Joseph Smith memorial building, the conference center, the tabernacle, the roof. It was all so sick. It was the most fun start to a day ever. Before today I  had taken 120 pictures, and just today I took 140 so I'll choose the best and get ready to be swarmed.

This week on Tuesday we hit our halfway mark so that means we would get a new district leader and I got asked to be it. I accepted and I'll be it for the rest of the MTC. It just means that I pick up the mail twice a day, lead the discussion after the tuesday devotional, and choose who prays.

On Sunday, Elder Ho and I had our lesson in priesthood on Enduring to the End. To say it was Str8 fire would be a major understatement. I'm surprised the entire room didn't get translated because of it. jk but everybody came up to us after ward and said that it was super good. The first counselor in the branch presidency was in there and at the end he said they had been greatly taught or something like that. It was really fun. Feel free to check out the scriptures we used:
Enduring to the End 2Nephi 31:20, D&C 10:69, 2Nephi 9:24, 3Nephi 27: 16-17, Matthew 10:22
Blessings for those who endure D&C 14:7, 1Nephi 13:37, 3Nephi 15:9,
D&C 24:8 and Alma 26:27
D&C 122:7-9 Joseph Smith Enduring in Carthage Jail

Running: Saturday 2.5, Tuesday 5.75 w 3mile tempo 6:20,6:03,5:49, Wendesday 4.25, Thursday 6 w 3x800 equal rest 2:31,2:32,2:31 (almost threw up after lol) There's a pull up bar outside my room, so I switch off days of doing pull ups, chin ups, and push ups. I didn't think it was possible for someone as buff as me to actually gain more muscle, but I testify that its happening.

Juan A Uceda of the 70 gave the Tuesday devotional. He was a convert in '72 and told us that you never know who you could be teaching the gospel too. He thanked our parents for sending us out which is definitely true in my life cuz my parents are day 1's #100emoji He talked for a long time on D&C 4:2 that we should serve with ALL of our heart might mind and strength.

MTC is still sick. Saw homies Danny Tumblin from Davis who I met at the byu xc camp. He's across the hall going to Milan Italy. And Gavin Harris from Lehi going to Benin and Togo Africa FRENCH speaking so we'll see each other a lot. Said goodbye to homie Asa Nielson #cryingemoji he's a stud and is gonna throw down in Minnesota.
Love all of you.

MTC .94 mile run today. Ran it with fellow district member Austin Frostad. He ran on the same team as Tanner Anderson in HS and ran XC in college. He led for the first 1000 meters maybe, helped push the pace, and then I took over with half a lap left and kicked. Didnt run faster than Ethan Fields 4:24 sadly but I'm really proud of the effort.
