1.5 when I woke up. Then 1.5 for warm up. This was my third time at the afgr, and both the times before I ran lead off, so it was little different this time. Got the baton with West and Olympus a while ahead and just tried to catch them. West was being lapped and Olympus was actually ahead of us. Caught Olympus about 1200 in. Got thru the gauntlet nicely on the first lap. First mile on my watch (which was prolly a little before the actual mile) was 5:02. Didn't hear anyone yelling out splits. Passed a yellow team I think, sometime. I tried to keep pushing on the gas pedal the entire race, slowed on the second mile but still a good split. I got 5:06 on my watch. Finished in 5th place, 10:18 split according to Jamie. Very pleased. Wanted to get some miles in before awards so we got Garek, the LP squad, Tanner and his friend and did some around the course, then did some more with Collin and the Twins and got to 8 total for the day.

So at awards they never called my name so we were super confused as to what happened. Max Spence from Olympus was 15th and he got 10:27, thats 9 seconds slower than what jamie got me at, how could we be off 9 seconds. Drove back to the high school and ran 6 with Thom to Olympic Park and back to finish up for the day. Then went to Pizza Pie Cafe with Asa, Kobe, and Josh and it was lit #thatdessertpizzatho Once I got home I checked the results and they have me at the 10th fastest split with a time of 10:18. Hopefully it all gets sorted out.

Shout outs for the day: You know I'm gonna be giving my boy Garek a shout out psh. My boy G-Money ran a 9:43 today, which you prolly already knew. I may have shed a few tears.

Shout out to Talon Hull who ran a 9:48, looks like his 3 mile treadmill tempos are working lol

Shout out to my buddies from Lone Peak and Dez Hells. You guys all killed it and it was fun hanging with ya.

Shout out to our varsity girls for taking 6th place!

Shout out to Galen for killing it today with a 10:22 and not getting a plaque either
