Once again I had alarm troubles this morning and missed the dream mile and a half with the team. So I had Austin ride next to me on his bike. 2 mile warm up with some strides. It was rainy but felt good. I haven't raced the dmh in a while and im getting in better and better shape so I was expecting to beat my old pr of 8:24. Felt good going over the overpass and pushed the downhill. First mile was 5:30. Just tried to keep a good pace going towards the jr high. Pushed hard the last part of airport. The last stretch never felt so long. Finished 8:19, got the pr. Happy with 5 seconds cuz its so frickin hard to pr.

Stopped at the heaps' for some water and then started going and saw jackie doing some pickups so I joined her for a little while till she was done. Went on the MCT for a lil, finished to 10.75

Shout out to Sami for going to cali and missing the rain today. Now i'll have to drink my hot chocolate alone.

Shout out to Brad cuz he's gonna get a blog soon. I'll keep you updated.

Shout out to Austin for help pacing me today and for also getting a 5 second pr in the dmh today.

Nice easy distance run today. Went mostly with Nug cuz the other guys thought we were going to fast for recovery pace, but our avg pace was 7:13 which I dont think is that bad for elite runners like me and nug. Turned left at the four way by bradys and then hopped on the rail trail. Turned around at four out and then did .25 around the high school. Didn't stop after the warm up, i need to do more runs like that. Then lower body workout after with some bench thrown in there for fun. Didn't ice bath today cuz the springs on but I got a bag of ice at my house so may do one later.

Once again shout out to Thom for Protein Shake and computer cred

Shout out to Brad for hitting 20 tramp bball shots from the same spot in a row. He smashed my previous record of 8. It was weird cuz before he hit 20 in a row, he only got to 5.

Shout out again to brad for getting a blog. Just so you know a lil about him, he ran for lehi and graduated the year before I ran my freshman xc season. But before he left on his mish he stayed around and ran with us and coached a lil and stuff and we were buds. Now he has been back for 8 months and he comes and runs with our team to stay in shape and play bball with us and sick stuff. Sadly he will be leaving soon to Snow College but he got a blog so we can see what sick stuff he's doing down there. Hit him up @B-rad Barton.

Happy Birthday shout out to Mama Heaps' father, Grandpa Whiting. We went over to his house in orem today for some sweet family bonding and a game of Phase 10 in which I started out killing it and then crashed and burned.

Mile warm up then headed over to sego lily elementary and ran around the field a lil before our workout. 10x60 seconds @ 5k race pace with 90 seconds rest. Took the ol shoes off which was ok but not the greatest cuz they dont have the best grass. Not exactly sure what my average pace was cuz it was bouncing around a ton on my watch. There were two sharp turns that you had too slow down and then pick it back up. Guessing the avg pace was about 5:10 for the first 7 then we picked it up to 4:50 our last 3. Finished up to 10 at an easy money type pace. Then went over to Ryans for ping pong and bball.

The people who are gonna miss our team race next week ran it today. Me and thom and some dudes went and ran the course. It includes highland glen park and the mct. Then drove back to the high school and ran a couple more miles.

Night run with Justus, Hank, Brad, Collin, Asa, Big T, Chicken Nug. It was a sick run, went to vets and had a nice run around the bases, then back on main. 4.5 miles avg pace 7:31.

Shout out to milesplit that ranked orem and westlake the 5th and 6th fastest schools in utah, with us 11th #hatersgonnahate #lawl

2 miles and then tempo run. 5:30-5:44. It was Me, Thom, and Nug and Brad biked with us. Id didn't bother me that we didn't have as many people in our pack. First mile was 5:41. I was talking and feeling fine and it didn't feel like tempo. Second mile was 5:39 and we lost nug who wasn't feeling great. Third mile was 5:36 and I was still feeling awesome, no problem. Last mile was 5:28. Avg pace 5:36. Felt great the entire time, fastest avg ever even with this being our longest tempo so far. Went out half mile more and then back to the high school. Started raining harder and it was wet but fun, 7:16 avg.
