UVU invite this morning. Did a 2 mile warm up. It was a lil cold standing around but once you got warmed up it was fine and race was perfect. Was in the first heat withh a bunch of the homies from all the other meets. Casey went str8 into the lead and nobody went with him and he won the race by 10 seconds. I hit a 66 the first lap. Most of the other guys were about the same, the pack was tight because of the slower ish pace so I was in lane 2 for a lot of the race. I went with the pack for the next lil while, but they were gradually pulling away until I was in the back three. It felt like I was working hard to stay with them and then when they picked it up I wasn't strong enough to stay with them. When everybody kicked I stayed the same distance behind and didn't pass anybody so that was fun. Ran about a second slower than I did at Davis which isn't a great feeling, but you cant choose which time you get, you gotta go out and work for it. It's early in the season so it's no time to stress I just gotta keep training hard. Cooling down with the Lone Peak crew was chill as always.

PM: Wanted to do something after my race so I went over to Loch Lomond and did a half mile warm up and then a 2 mile tempo avg pace 5:24, and a half mile cool down.

Good attitude, what you want to do is reach towards a peak, not run yourself ragged.

I'd think that your goal would be to break 4:20. That's very doable. How's your closing speed? Can you close in a 60? Maybe a 62. 66s and a 62 will get you close.
