PM: The Connor Arnell/Baller Classic. Originally we called it the Arnell Classic, but then someone said the Baller Classic and it had a nice ring to it. Call it whatever you please. 2 mile warm up and stretch and some strides. Josh, who had the sick playlist we were gonna listen to during the race on his phone. Showed up the time we were gonna start the race. Then they tried to get it set up for 20 minutes while we were sitting out in the cold. I did a ton of strides here and there waiting to start the race. They finally ditched it and we started the 5k race on the track.

We wanted to hit 75's and switch off pacing laps. At first it was Michael and Ryan. And we were pretty good but when one would take over they would slow it down once they got in the lead and we were 5:11 the first mile. I needed to hold my end of the pacing, and I didn't want to be a hypocrite and get mad at the slow pacing and never have stepped in. So I took the next two laps and hit a 70 on one of them and tried to speed it up. Then Christian took some and then Ryan again and it was us three together as we had broken off. We were within a couple seconds of 10:11 for the two mile split so about 5:00. Didn't really get any of the splits or times for the third mile. With like 800 to go, Ryan and Christian gapped me just a lil and I closed it. 450 to go I moved to second. Then Christian started to dry heave and I was like ah man. 200 to go I got in the lead and then last hundred Christian passes me and I was like what the heck, 200 meters ago you were dying. He got 15:41, I got 15:42 and it was a really fun time. Beat my time from Bob Firman the only 5k we ran this year, by 1 second. Once we got going I didn't think bout the cold at all, wind was hard. 1.5 mile cool down with CKonetheballer and had a nice talk. He's an awesome guy and hopefully he can have a killer track season cuz he deserves it. National Sandwich Day at subway after. One day off, then small hill workout on Thursday and Tempo @ pre footlocker.

Shout out to Alexis and Megan cuz they're sick. Shout out to everyone that came out and cheered us on, and shout out to David at UtahRun for letting us use the big timer.
