Heading over to the high school I felt pretty good. Warmed up 2 miles. My goal for the race was to state qualify. I didn't really care about just getting a pr. State qualifying is 9:36.95. So I needed to hit 72's. But the race went out super slow. I got out good and was right up in the front, come around and its a 72. Ugh. I was supposed to have a few seconds cushion after the first lap. Then our second lap is a 76. Ugh. After a few laps of this Josh Collins finally took the lead and upped the pace. After the first mile I was 4:54 which is six seconds too slow. After that I kind of gave up a little bit which I shouldn't have done cuz I ended up getting within almost a second and a half of state and thats not a lot, so I think I could have gotten it if I had kept telling myself I could still get it. Back to the race. So we pushed the middle laps cuz the slow start. I didn't see exactly what the clock said right as I hit the line with one lap to go, I just saw it at 8:24 when I still had some left. I kicked hard the last lap and caught a woods cross kid with 300 left and with 100 left I pulled up beside Koy from Timp and we were both going as hard as we could. I turned on the jets and beat him. My time was 9:38.64. 1.69 seconds off of state. So my last lap was a 64. If I keep that last lap but push one of the middle laps 1.69 seconds faster I would have got it. But its over and I'll just go qualify at Utah County. My achilles hurt after on my run so I iced it. Few hours later I got ready to run the medley, but we went out of the exchange zone on the first hand off.

Second day of Pine View shout outs: Audun won the 300 hurdles so thats hot.

Brady got a wasatch girls number. To bad he told her he was a senior and now she wont text back.

Kaysha love won everything this weekend, including our arm wrestle sadly. Now she is trying to slay Brady so we'll see how that goes.

Chris Kauffman cuz he got a 2:01 in the 800 and had a killer kick to win his heat.

Paul Gaona killed it in the 4x4. They dropped the baton but then he kicked trash and made it up and looked like he was hauling
