Did 5 miles after school to loosen up, then about 8:00 got up to the Ice Oval. I ran the 4x800 meter relay. Sean said on the list he looked at that we were ranked 4th, which is accurate. But when they gave us hip numbers they had us at 19th. Then there were too many teams to go in one heat so they split it. Well heat one, they put in the faster teams. And since we were ranked 19th we got put in heat two. I was dissapointed because we were going for the win and now we couldn't see what place we would be in. So Ogden won the first heat in 8:21. So we said win this heat, and then get as fast as possible. Collin started off and he ran great. He got a 2:07 split and got me the baton in second place, about 5 seconds off the leader. And earlier in the day collin had run a personal best 4:43 mile! I started off at an ok pace and just tried to keep making ground on the kid. It was a team from Wyoming. I did keep making ground and on my final kick I got Dylan the baton right behind the leader. My dad and jamie had me at a 2:06. I felt really good, I'm way excited about these 800 pr's, now i can have more speed for the mile. Dylan paced off the guy for about a lap and then had an amazing kick. The kid started to die off, so in just the last hundred meters it seemed like dylan made 5 seconds on him. We had dylan at about a 2:04. Sean got it and took off. He was all alone now and was just trying to beat Ogden's time. Well Sean got a 2:03 split and came across in 8:21! So we are wondering what place we got, but its late so we all leave except for sean, because his dad was helping with the results or something. When I got home I got a text from Sean saying that we got second place to Ogden by 1 thousandth of a second! Qualifying time for simplot is 8:24 so we might go run it at simplot! I cooled down about a mile after around the track. I am running the 2mile tomorrow. Hopefully I can break 10.
