Wanted to warm up 2 but got a late start so went 1.6 ish. I had been hydrating well all day but still felt kinda tired because of the heat. Didn't get any strides on the line cuz we got there late. We were on the very outside box but I got a decent start so it wasn't too bad.

Race was said to be 2.9 and my card said 5:15 avg. On my gps, a couple steps after I crossed the finish line, I got it for 2.94 and 5:12 avg. My splits were 5:12, 5:14, and 5:08 pace for the .94. Didn't think I was in that good of shape to start the season so I was really happy.

So the first mile was perfect. I just wanted to feel the race out. I was back in place, but I was feeling good so I had energy to move up through out the rest of the race. Me and Ryan were continually passing people the entire race. I dont know if I'd say blew by, but we passed with authority awesome guys like Garret Barton, Payton Riggs, Colter Blanchard and Logan MacKay . Freaking logan tho, he finished only 2 seconds behind me when I was way ahead of him, he always has a crazy kick. Finished 8th place overall and the team finished 3rd ugggghghghghghghhgh!!!!! 3 points behind Timpanogos. Top two got trophies, so once again we fall one place short. Even tho I was disappointed, it was a good overall race and we are gonna improve way more and this season is gonna be awesome.

Shout out to Ethan Field my boy from Sky View. Follow him on insta @efisherf and @my.backyard for sick pics. He got 11th and 15:19! He has improved so much! He killed it so hard.
