I led off for Lehi and I did alright and got 10:35. I had like the 16th fastest overall split. I gave it to Sean and he got a 10:32. We were in 3rd now, close to Desert Hills in second. Austin and Thomas got 10:43 and 10:45. We lost some ground on Desert Hills so Ryan tried to make it up. He got 10:30 and we got third place by 7 seconds. It was awesome because we got the 10th fastest team time ever.

This race didn't go good at all. I was getting over a sickness, so I should have started out slow and eased into it, but I decided to have the fastest start I'd ever had and ran sub 5 for the first mile haha. It was kinda down hill and then I guess the adrenaline got me. So after that I had nothing left. I got 6th on the team. My worst finish ever. On this course any other day I would have broken 16 but I didn't even come close and I got 16:36. We got 2nd as a team, we wouldn't have caught Davis if I had done well, but we would have been a lot closer

Had a good start, and unlike this year I knew that there was 3 laps and not 2 so I didn't start sprinting with a mile to go. I felt pretty good, I won a shirt so thats cool. We did really good as a team. I got 14th, Dylan got 15th, Thomas got 16th, and Austin got 18th. We always have a pretty good spread but today it was really good. The team got 3rd place behind Davis and Desert Hills.

Shout out to Garek cuz he frickin won the race!

We ran in the Elite Varsity race and got 6th place. Thats good but I think we could have got better. The race was super packed so maybe I didn't realize the right pace I had to go. During the race I felt like I was doing good, but after I realized I could have gone faster. Brady killed it and got right behind me and Thomas. I finished with a 16:21.

After the race I got on the bus to go home, but Thomas called me and told me he needed me to go to a dance with him that night. Long story short I took his cousin, he took her friend and we went to Rocky Mountain high school's homecoming dance or something like that and it was way sick. I drove back with the heaps on sunday and we stopped and saw jackie on the way.

My legs just felt tight and not very good before the race. The race went pretty good, it wasn't awful. Thomas beat me by .6 Sean had a great race and got 16:29. We got 2nd place as a team and we are going to State! So happy for the senior that they get to have their last race at state. After the race was pretty sick too haha.

I was not sure how I was going to feel because I didn't feel so great at Region. Warmed up and did some strides and my legs felt good. We started out and I was up in the front but I wanted to be more on the outside, but the gun went off again so we had to restart. The next time I had an even better start and up the hill I was right with the leaders. My first mile was 5:03 and I felt great. I started to feel a little tired on the hill after you go around the lake but I kept telling myself to stay with the guys around me. I was with Joe Simmons and some Davis guys coming around the pond with about 800 left and I wanted really bad to just slow down but I fought thru it. I had a family friend cheering where you cross the road with 150 meters left and it really got me going. Coltan Rimann and a Westlake guy were just ahead of me when we hit the track. This is where I threw in all I had left in the tank. I cruised in lane two and passed both of them. I almost caught Jacob Chase from AF but I was so happy. I ended in 10th place, second team all-state, and got 15:45, a huge PR and way faster than anything I thought I could do. I beat a handful of guys I had never beaten before. I received the final medal and ran the second fastest time at state, ever for Lehi. Thomas got 20th, and the team got 3rd behind AF and Davis. We had beaten Westlake by only five points. It was a great day.

I thought for sure I would break 16 but my legs just would not go faster. I started out too fast, first mile 4:52, after that I died.

It was super fun going in the seeded race. It was crazy doing strides and seeing Matthew Maton and John Dressel 10 feet away. I got out ok, i had a good seed place, so I was on the front line, Thomas and Sean were in the back. I didn't really care if I ran farther, so I was way on the outside because I didn't want to get boxed in. At one point in the race I was running on a bank so I was way tipped over. I did pretty good on the switch backs, I passed a lot of guys. Then I just tried to fly down the down hills. No matter how good of shape yur in this course kicks yur butt. There was multiple times I thought to myself why I was running this course, because you are so tired going up the hills. Its at sea level tho, so that helped a little bit. I had a good kick once we got to the track and I finished 97th place with a 16:58. I didn't have a time or place goal coming in, but I'll just say it was break 17 and get top 100.

Congrats to garek for getting 9th! He's going to Nationals so thats awesome. Conner got 5th. Lucy got 7th at Nike Nationals so good job to her. It was awesome, I had a small conversation with Matthew Maton
