"Recovery" distance run at 6:50 average pace. Jamie prolly wanted us a little slower but whatevs. We went on the bike path trail rail road path thingy, none of us really know what it's called. We ran just passed the chasm and then back. It felt really good. Probably some kind of speed tomorrow. Thank you to Kneaders for sponsoring our run today. "There are no shortcuts on the extra mile" Go into Kneaders and get the 5 dollar all you can eat French toast it's awesome. After our run we went into the fitness center to do #MaxoutMonday and we were almost done. I had maxed out at 105, tying my PR. Matt was attempting 165 I think, something around there. He tried it once before and didn't make it. This time he was half way up or so, SUPER close to making it all the way up. His left arm was not as high as his other arm and we didn't have clamps on the end so the weights fell off the side. Ted freaking Taylor, the idiot Spanish teacher (please excuse my vulgor terms) who thinks he's hawt stuff and that he can boss us around when he has no authority, came over and proceeded to tell us that we were "jerking off" whatever that means, that we had no idea how to lift, that we were a danger to ourselves, and that Matt, Zach, me and Thomas could have all been seriously injured, when in fact Thomas and I were standing far enough away to be out of harms way. We were spotting each other and Zach was about to grab the bar. So he over reacted hard core. After all the bs, he kicked us out and said we can't lift in there anymore without a coach. I already thought he was a cocky piece of crap but now my hatred has increased. So yea idk how much lifting I'll be doing now, we'll see.

This week is gonna be sick, I'm planning on doing the 1600, 800, and 3200 at the Distance Challenge this Friday. If I am super tired after one of the first two i'll back out, but if I can survive all three than why not #YOLO!!!!!

Today the juniors signed up for senior year classes, so I had to be home early. So while the team did plyometrics, me and brady went and got 7 in. Brady is a senior he just had to back for wrestling. We ran by Sami's house and our average pace was 6:38. I still have 2 miles to go, so I'll do that later.

I did 2 miles around my house with my dog (Duke, he's a Greater Mountain Swiss) and it was pretty sick, it felt like 7:30 pace maybe.

Shout out to Thomas' dad Papa Heaps for having a fast running blog! I never knew he had one, so it was pretty fun to look at. Check it out in my favorite blogs. Oh ya and he hasn't really posted in like 3 years... whatevs

I added all the Sky View kids to my fav blogs cuz why not. And also Nick Hill from Pine View and Sage Ducote from Desert Hills because I have a shirt with the top 15 guys at state for xc 1A-5A on the back, and Nick and Sage's names are on it (11th and 7th place) so they deserve to be in my fav blogs. (and yes Garek your name is on there too #beast #4thplaceatstate #ballerstatus)

Shout out to Matt who has the second sickest blog of all time. I obviously win, then Matt comes in, his blog is pretty good, it gets me turnt up, and then Garek comes in at third, he str8 kills it (except for when I beat him in monthly views.... oh! haha jk garek i still love you homie, you could beat me in a race anyday) anyway he kills it so hard call him Joseph Stalin..... #historylesson

Mile warm up and then pick ups on the road. 1 min on, 1 min off 12 times. We did the fast part at about 4:55 and the off at a slow recovery pace. Each pick up, someone would do a quick stride during the fast part, and we would practice closing the gap. We ran on the Jordan River trail and finished our last pick up at 4 miles out, then turned back and finished 9 total. The way back I was at 6:57 avg.

Shout out to the ice bath I just took cuz it was frickin cold! Gotta get ready for my 1600 and 800 races this friday!

Got in 6 miles and then did 3 strides and two 400's for pre meet. I got 70, 67. Then finished up my miles. My legs were feeling tired but my legs haven't felt good before meets before and i've done good so i'll be optimistic.

Shout out to Zach Erickson from Lone Peak who just got a fast running blog. Hit him up

Today was awesome. Got in about 10 minute warm up and then stretched and did some strides. I was in the second fastest heat of the 1600 with Sean and Thomas. There were a lot of guys in our heat so I just wanted to stay in the pack and settle into the pace and move my way up through out. Since there were so many people, guys would swing into lane 4 to try and pass so I would just scoot into lane 2 or 1, so I ran better than my 2 mile a couple weeks ago in that perspective. The pace felt good, in most my races I try to stay consistent in the middle laps, which I did really well tonight, and then kick hard. We picked it up with about 500 to go and I was in about 7th. Then with 300 to go I started really pushing to try and catch Thom and Sean and pretty much just kick it, and I actually had a good amount left in the tank. So I had a strong last lap and ended up 4th in my heat with a 9 second pr of 4:31! I ended up getting 17th overall and which is good. I felt super great about it because I almost completely skipped the 4:30's.  Sean and Thomas both pr'd with a 4:33 and 34.

I cooled down and  warmed up for then 800 haha at the same time. I did some strides and stretched before the 800 and I called that good. I hopped in the second fastest heat, which was 2:04, which was the time I ended up getting so that was cool. I was satisfied with my mile, so I just told myself to stay with the pack and then kick hard. I pretty much did that. Good first lap, then we started going with 300 left. With the straight away left I had Frazier Williamson -Davis a few meters ahead and then Chris Hughes -Woods Cross a few meters ahead of him. I tried to catch Frazier, and I did. So then I said catch Chris. I ran out of track and Chris got me by .04. When I had like 50 meters left I looked up at the timer and saw 1:57, and I thought to myself, dang, am I really going this fast? Well I finished with a 2:04, a 2 second pr from a relay, but if you only count open 800's its a 6 second pr! I got 17th place overall, the same place as the mile. It was good that I went in a fast heat so the other guys made it a lot easier for me to get a good time. I am running the 3200 at simplot with Thom and it should be super fun. Making it to Finals is my goal! I am remarkably good shape right now so every meet I get more and more excited for outdoor, great things to come

Shout out to Sean for killing the 2 mile! He ran a pr of 4:33 in the mile and then only an hour later he ran a 9:48-9:49 in the 2 mile! Call him Cam Levins dude! #doubledouble

Today felt great. When me and @sirmatthewtodd started my legs were kinda tired, as they should be, but they warmed up after the first few miles. I warmed up 1.5 then we went out 4.75. We ran past freedom and ran straight down the road till we turned back. When we turned around we realized that we were going a 7 minute pace and that we both felt really good. On the way back we dropped it to a 6:50 and we actually never stopped after our warm up. I finished with 11 miles at 6:55 mile average.

After the run, me and matt drove straight to Strrt's church to play church ball with him because it was only Me, Matt, Strrt, and Brady. We lost by 4 points but I thought that was really good for only having 4 players and the other team had 7. We ran alot during the game so I could say I got 12 today

I will be running the 3200 with Thomas at Simplot on thursday, I'm way excited!

Shout out to Conner Mantz cuz he commented on my post from yesterday and said good job (go check it out) if he wants he could be an honorary member of team pre
